Western Oregon University – Career Readiness Guide
The Challenge
The Center for Professional Pathways at Western Oregon University has been supporting students in their career journeys since 2004, evolving over the years to reflect a broader philosophy around career development and life design. They came to Sparklet needing a career guide designed specifically for WOU students, a resource that would walk them through the job search process in a way that was easy to read, easy to use, and visually engaging.
The Solution
The guide was designed as a clean, student friendly booklet covering every stage of the job search process. From writing cover letters and resumes to preparing for interviews, the content was presented through both written explanations and visual examples so students could quickly find and apply what they needed. Sample interview questions, professional dress guidance, and real examples of both strong and weak responses to common questions gave students a practical, hands on resource they could return to throughout their college career.
