Luna’s Cafe

The Challenge

Luna’s Cafe is a charming and welcoming destination in Monmouth, Oregon, offering a delightful selection of baked goods, tasty lunch items, and expertly crafted coffee drinks. Owned by Adela, the cafe is inspired by her childhood memories in Mexico, where she would gather with her family to enjoy pan dulce, café de olla, and other treats prepared by her grandmother, Tita Luna. Adela opened the cafe to bring those warm, comforting experiences to her community, creating a place where people could relax, connect, and feel at home. For her website, she needed a space where customers could quickly find information, view the menu, see photos of the food, and connect with the story and mission behind Luna’s. Accessibility was also a key priority, ensuring that all visitors, including those with visual or auditory impairments, could easily navigate and enjoy the site.

The Solution

To bring Adela’s vision to life, we created a website and supporting marketing materials that were vibrant, accessible, and consistent with Luna’s established branding. We used the cafe’s signature yellow and purple colors along with high-quality photography of Luna’s baked goods and lunch items to create a warm and inviting feel. To address accessibility, we implemented an accessibility sidebar with a screen reader and other tools to make the site inclusive for all users. For the print deliverables, including business cards, rack cards, a sandwich board, and loyalty cards, we designed high-contrast, easy-to-read materials that aligned with the cafe’s visual identity. By combining thoughtful design, accessibility features, and cohesive branding, the project successfully showcased Luna’s offerings, communicated its story, and created a welcoming experience for all visitors.
